1. Purpose
This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy explains how SamaPrime works to prevent its platform from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime. It applies to every user, transaction, and product on SamaPrime, including wallet top-ups, digital goods purchases, and any current or future money-movement feature such as P2P transfers, remittances, or cards.
2. Compliance principles
SamaPrime is committed to complying with applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws and regulations in the jurisdictions it operates in. We apply a risk-based approach: the level of scrutiny applied to a user or transaction scales with the risk it presents, rather than treating every user identically regardless of activity.
3. Identity verification
We verify user identity in tiers, from a basic email/phone check at signup to full government-ID and address verification for higher transaction volumes. See our KYC Verification Tiers page for full detail on what's required at each level and the limits each level unlocks.
4. User obligations
Users must provide accurate, current information during verification and promptly update it if it changes. Users may not use SamaPrime on behalf of a third party without disclosure, attempt to structure transactions to avoid verification thresholds, or use the platform for any activity prohibited by law in their jurisdiction.
5. Verification levels
SamaPrime uses a tiered verification system — Basic, Standard, and Enhanced — each unlocking higher transaction limits in exchange for additional identity information. Full tier details, including exact limits and required documents, are published on our KYC Verification Tiers page.
6. Sanctions screening
SamaPrime screens users against applicable international sanctions lists, including those maintained by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the European Union, and the United Nations Security Council. A user matched to a sanctions list will have their account restricted pending review, and SamaPrime will not knowingly process a transaction for a sanctioned individual or entity.
7. Source of funds
For larger transactions or accounts flagged by our risk models, we may request documentation showing the legitimate origin of funds — such as a bank statement, payslip, or business invoice. Failure to provide requested source-of-funds documentation within a reasonable period may result in a transaction being held or an account being restricted.
8. Transaction monitoring
SamaPrime monitors transaction activity for patterns consistent with money laundering, fraud, or other financial crime, including unusual transaction size, frequency, or structuring behavior. Flagged activity is reviewed manually before any account action is taken.
9. Digital assets and blockchain analytics
Because SamaPrime's wallet is funded via USDT (BEP20 and TRC20), incoming and outgoing crypto transactions are screened using blockchain analytics tools to identify funds associated with known illicit addresses, such as sanctioned wallets, ransomware, or darknet markets. A deposit traced to a high-risk address may be held pending review before being credited to a user's balance.
